Phyllis Ann Burris

Phyllis was born in Charlestown, IN and graduated from Fern Creek High School, KY in 1966. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Burris in 1968.

Phyllis was a loving mother and Gram (Grandmother). She enjoyed crafting, making porcelain dolls, traveling, Mickey Mouse, and her dogs throughout the years (Brandi, Todo, Tag-a-long, Captain, Daisy, and Buttercup). Her greatest enjoyment was the annual family vacation with her daughters, sons-in-law, and grandkids to whom she’ll forever be known as Gram.

Phyllis Burris is survived by her husband, Jerry Burris, her 2 daughters, Hope Hoskins (Kevin), and Heather Harstine (Shane), 4 grandchildren, Spencer Hoskins, Keali Hoskins, Braxton Harstine, and Reese Harstine, her sisters Joyce McCubbin and Marilyn Morgan, and her brother Kenny Mattingly.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Toni Lynn Burris, mother Lucille Bland, brothers Frankie Mattingly, and Jim Underwood.

The funeral service will be held on February 4, 2025, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. The visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:30pm, and the memorial service will be held at 1:30pm. The burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 279 Landis Lane, Mt. Washington, KY 40047 after the service.

Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but not necessary.
