Phyllis was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Oscar Jenkins and Katherine (Jenkins) Johnson. She graduated from Butler High School. She loved crocheting, sewing, and crafts of any kind.
Above all, Phyllis was a loving mother and grandmother. Her biggest legacy is the countless memories created during holidays, family gatherings, and shopping trips spent collecting moments and treasures. She expressed love not only through warm hugs and wise advice, but also through being a listener, an advocate, and a constant source of support for her family and friends.
Phyllis is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Robynn (Larry) Landherr; her grandchildren, Evan (Chelsea) Landherr, Emily (Lawrence) Ice, Erynn (Zach) Wesolowski, Ethan (Elizabeth) Landherr, Emma (Steven) Ramirez, and Easton Landherr, and her great-grandchildren, Harrison Ice, Evelynn Landherr, Rowen Wesolowski, Mary Ryan Ramirez, and John Thomas Landherr. She was predeceased by her parents, Oscar Jenkins and Katherine Johnson; her husband, Bud Reed, and her son, Jeffrey Reed.
Services will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40222. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m.
