He was a retired self-employed wholesale bakery distributor, and former employee of Budget Car Rental.
Ray was preceded in death by a son Jimmy Blair; his parents Gypsie and Freida Blair; and his brothers Howard and Harold Blair.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Velma Louden Blair; a daughter, Jacquelin Cave (Eddie); sons, Keith Blair (Kathy) and Stephen Blair; sisters, Dorothy Willis and Naomi Winstead; grandchildren, Jennifer Salsman (Matt), Jodie Doninger (Tony), Jonathan Blair (Amber), and Caitlyn Blair; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held at 12:00 Friday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Thursday.
Memorial gifts may be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children or the St. Joseph Children’s Home.
