Richard Bonn (Rick) was a member of the graduating class of 1975 St. Xavier High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Kentucky and spent thirty-four years at the Sheriff’s office.
Rick enjoyed following his favorite sports teams, The Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, and Kentucky Wildcats. He enjoyed traveling with Tammy and friends, playing golf and evenings spent with his New View crew. His greatest treasure was raising his two sons, Blake and Brett, whom he was so very proud of.
Rick will be dearly missed by Tammy, family, and numerous friends.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Dr. Richard Bonn, a brother, Stephen Bonn, a niece, Lauren Bonn. He is survived by his partner, Tammy Webb, Children, Blake Bonn and Brett Bonn. siblings are Dr. Kevin Bonn (Jill), Chris Bonn (Katie) and Brian Bonn (Beth). He is also survived by two nephews, three nieces and extended family and friends.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8 pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville KY 40218. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
