

Richard (Rich) A. Sarver, age 77, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025 at his home in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born October 22,1947 to Merrill and Mattie Sarver who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother Ronnie G. Sarver. Richard is survived by two sisters, Penny E. Sarver, Louisville and Phyllis C. Webb, Shelbyville, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He graduated from Manual High School and attended the University of Louisville. Richard was a proud Vietnam War Veteran, having served in the Navy on the USS Shangri-La for two out of his four years. He is best known for his artistic ability which he turned into an advertising career for 30 years in Orlando, Florida. He was also an avid UofL fan. Richard’s Christian faith was demonstrated by his desire to help those in need. He served several years for the Dare to Care Food Bank program located at the former Southside Baptist Church.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 12-2 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville KY 40218. A funeral service will take place at 2PM following the visitation on Thursday with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park.
