Richard E. Tipton, 61, of Louisville passed away December 18, 2015 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was born on September 7, 1954 in Louisville to Hubert and Margaret Tipton. He was a collector, an avid reader and loved to take drives and reminisce about the past.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Karen Sturgeon Tipton; a daughter, Allison Tipton (Matt Scott-Jones); his parents Hubert and Margaret Tipton and two brothers, Steve Tipton (Connie) and Jeff Tipton (Susan).
Visitation will be from 2-8 on Sunday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Funeral services will be private.
