Dear Triplett family,

While we didn't actually know Rick, we are good friends with his sister Debbie and were saddened to hear of Rick's death. Losing a loved one is never easy.  We hope you can cherish the good memories and keep them dear to your hearts.  May knowing Rick is at peace and in God's memory bring all of you comfort.  We sincerely offer our deepest sympathy! Circus, sci-fi, comedy three stooges couldn’t match, Rick gave fun , aggravation, and headache all in one-in our lives on Bluegrass.  Loved football he was dubbed Flap Strap because of honest antic and everyone had fun with his earnest play. Rick met drugs young and life took a curve.  Addictions won but he really tried with family and love of work and his friendships.  Rick deep in feeling of anyone he knew.  Loved mom greatly and Chrissy his treasured friend ❤️ He fathered with love and hardship and gave to his best to each of us he owned as family.  We love our Rick.  My little brother was a handful but gave open-heartedly. Your soul an open book, to be continued-Acts 24: 14, 15.  Much love to my family in this time of sorrow.💛

Ricky was my cousin, we attended and graduated from Bishop David high school together. I don’t think I ever saw Ricky mad-he was the nicest most jovial person I think I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Although we didn’t see each other as much after high school, he always greeted me with a big bear hug when we did see each other, he was a very loving person. I am going to miss him. RIP cuz!

Rick was one of the funniest people I’ve known in my life. Driving him to school at Bishop David every morning was sometimes a riot . We laughed and talked about girls and sometimes did things we shouldn’t have done. Rose and Al you are 2 of the finest people I’ve known in my life, take care . Rick will be missed greatly.

Dawn, Hope, Ashley and the Triplett family,  
 Rick always  made us laugh. It was a blessing having him in our life. We had a lot of good times. Loved being around him ever since we met him  back in high school. I am sorry for your loss and I pray God comforts all of you with His peace. Sending my love to all of you.

Growing up on Model Road holds a plethora of wonderful childhood memories.   A humorous story I often tell involves Ricky’s win-win strategy of cleaning up the yard; I even use it in my math lessons to connect repeated addition and multiplication.  He told us kids (the Fowler cousins) that he would give us a nickel for every cigarette butt we picked up.  We would go to town looking for those things to the point of digging at the dirt to get one that had made its way below the surface. He would thank us, pay us, then entertain us with his award winning act of eating worms!! We will miss you. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. 

I had the pleasure  of knowing  and working with Rick for many years. 
Many nights out of town enjoying a cold beer and playing cards.  
Rick worked and played hard and always  had a smile and a good story.
It has been years since we've talked but I will remember him with a smile on my face.

He is survived by his wife, Chrissy Triplett; his children Dawn (Chris), Hope Renee, Ashley (Andrew), Lynn (Keith) and Dennis (Dawn); his parents, Alfred and Rose Triplett; siblings, Tommy (Suzie), Debbie (Jon), Patty, and Linda (Bill); 7 grandchildren and a new baby girl on the way in June; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
