

He was the son of late Andrew and Catherine Doolin, born May 30, 1945. He was a retired supervisor for Metro Parks/City of Louisville. Bob coached basketball for more than half his life, from little league, high school (P.R.P) and even college (Spalding University).
Bob loved his KY Wildcats and Green Bay Packers, and he loved and adored his family and friends.
Robert Doolin Sr., was an avid race car driver for many years, winning many races. MOPAR was his favorite, and showed in his expertise in developing and racing a Dodge R/T 44 magnum at Ohio Valley Raceway.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Andrew and Catherine Doolin; brother, James Spears; and son, Richard Anthony Doolin.
He is survived by his former wife, Kathy Doolin Priddy; daughters, Angela Doolin Ludwig (Kenneth) and Robyn Doolin Rose (Greg), sons, Christopher Doolin (Amanda) and Robert Doolin Jr. (Maureen), all of Louisville; siblings, Dennis Doolin (Sandra) of Frankfort, KY and Douglas Doolin (Delores) of Winchester, KY; 10 grandchildren, Robert Doolin III (Tiffany), Elizabeth Doolin, Liam Doolin, Thomas Ludwig, Nicholas Ludwig, Logan Rose, Kylie Rose, Gracie Rose, Caleb Doolin, Micah Doolin; four great-grandchildren, and his best friend, dog Maggie.
Services honoring the life of Bob will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy., Visitation will be on Thursday, from 3-8 p.m. and Friday from noon until time of service at 2 p.m..
