Robert E. Corey

Robert was born on July 30, 1941, in Searsport, Maine. The son of Walter and Mable (Grindle) Corey, Robert grew up in Searsport and married Gay Corey on April 4, 1959.

Robert worked at Maplewood Poultry Company, in Belfast, for many years before moving to St. Petersburg, Florida. There, he worked at Alcan Packaging. After years in St. Petersburg, he was transferred to the Shelbyville, Kentucky branch of the company, where he worked for many years until he suffered a stroke and could no longer work.

Robert is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gay Corey, of Shelbyville; his sons, Robert Jr., of Thailand, and Randy, of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; his daughters, Regina Snow, of Searsport, and Angela Rosengren, of Brewer, Maine; granddaughters, Rachel (Tim) Wilson, of Waldo, Maine, Sara (Nicholas) Esquivel, of Douglas Flat, California, Ashland (Matthew) Keller, of Brownville, Maine, Kassandra Grant, of Seasport, Maine, Nicole Rosengren of Bangor, Maine; grandson, Alex Rosengren, of Orrington, Maine; and four great-children.

He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Mable Corey; his brothers, Allen, of Belfast, Maine, and Roger, of Anchorage, Alaska; and his sister, Wannetta Colcord, of Sabbattus, Maine.
