Robert Hausman

Robert Joseph Hausman, passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 46, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on December 3, 1977, in Louisville, Kentucky, Robert's infectious smile and unwavering spirit were a gift to all who knew him throughout his life.

Robert's early years were spent in the warm embrace of his family in Louisville. His love for NASCAR, UK football, and outdoor adventures like bonfires and grilling, became the hallmark of his leisure time. Robert's zest for life shone brightest when he was riding the golf cart, tinkering on cars, or enjoying carwash trips with his two sons. His adventurous spirit led him to cherish moments spent tubing and going on boat rides with his boys at the family Rough River lake house. Evenings were often spent with family, watching favorite shows like Expedition Unknown, Parker's Trail, and Gold Rush.

Professionally, Robert dedicated many years as a manager at Oldham Chemical, where his leadership was greatly valued.

Robert's legacy is carried on by his loving soulmate of 12 years, Jennifer Hausman; his cherished sons, Jeremiah Bryan and Ayden Kenneth; by his mother, Marcia Hausman; and his devoted siblings, Larry (Kathleen), Mark (Lesie), Jim (Michelle), Monica (Eddie), and sister-in-law Leslie. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Hausman, and brother, David Vincent Hausman. Along with his furry companions, Ebbie, Ellie, Emerald, and his special Mit-Mit.

Those who knew Robert will remember him as a loving, funny, and faith-filled man. He had the rare ability to light up any room he entered and made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Robert's unwavering courage in the face of his illness was an inspiration, and his legacy of joy and resilience will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends.

A funeral service for Robert will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Rd, Louisville, Kentucky 40205. A visitation will occur Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218.
