Roger D Meredith

Roger is survived by his daughter, Heather Meredith, step-son, Michael Gathof (Julie), sister Katie Steele, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Shirley, his step-son Mitch Gathof (Connie), brothers Jerry Hester and Richard Hester and sister Sidney Colvin.

Roger took great pride in his career and was known as a gifted and dedicated worker. In addition to serving in the Army National Guard, one of his biggest accomplishments was retiring from the Millwrights Local Union 1031. He was well respected for his craftsmanship and made many life-long friends over the years.

In addition to spending time with his family, Roger loved sports and was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan. He never missed a game and was known to always wear Wildcat Blue. Although his home was here in Kentucky, Roger spent many days at the beach. Warm weather and family were two of his greatest joys.

A service celebrating Roger's life will be held privately at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218.
