Ronnie was welcomed into the heavenly gates by his beloved wife, Janice Prosch; his parents, Loyd and Virginia Prosch; his brother, Jerry Prosch; and his cherished daughter, Brandie Prosch—each now reunited in joyous celebration.
He leaves behind a loving legacy through his daughters, Tammy Kurz and Virginia (Ginny) Prosch; sons-in-law, David Kurz and Ronnie Kinzel; granddaughters, Taylor and Bailey Kurz; and his brother, Donnie Prosch.
Ronnie was born on November 17, 1945, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Loyd and Virginia Prosch. On December 16, 1965, he married Janice Whittington at Mary Springs Church of God of Prophecy in Gloster, Mississippi. Answering a divine calling to ministry, Ronnie faithfully pastored eight churches across Mississippi, Ohio, Florida, and North Carolina. His leadership journey continued as he was subsequently appointed Overseer for West Virginia, Michigan, and Indiana. Ronnie’s life was a testament to his deep love for God, devotion to family, and heartfelt compassion for people.
He was deeply loved and widely respected. Beneath his strength was a heart full of tenderness, especially toward his family. His warmth was magnetic; he never met a stranger, and his corny jokes were always ready to lift spirits. Most of all, he was unwavering in his faith, always sharing the love of Jesus with everyone who crossed his path.
The celebration of life service will be Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven starting at 1 p.m. We invite all to join us in honoring and celebrating the life of Rev. Ronnie Prosch.
“Life is a gift from God. What you do with it is your gift to God.”
