Rose Marie Drane

Born in Hodgenville, Kentucky on Thursday, September 6, 1945, Rose was the daughter of the lates’ Jesse Renfro Beard & Emma B. Tharp. She was a retired Sales Associate at Macy’s, where she worked in sales and public relations. Rose was deeply rooted in her faith and was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church where she was very involved. She loved to crochet, even as her eyesight started to decline. She could often be found taking walks with her friends, she loved her family and her cats.

Besides her parents, Jesse Renfro & Emma Beard; her husband, Ronald Crawford Drane; and brother, Walter Lewis Beard, precede Rose in her passing.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kristin (Mark) Mattingly and Robin (David) Burch; granddaughters, Katie (Chris) and Kayla; a great – grandson, Malcolm Indiana Jones and one on the way, August Jake Jones; plus, her church family, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Heady Memorial Chapel of the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home – Okolona Home. She will be laid to rest in a private service in the Upton Cemetery in Upton, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. and then again on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the Hour of Service at 11:00 a.m. also at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home – Okolona Chapel.
