He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Thompson and Ruth Thompson Skaggs.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Brown Thompson; a son, Donald Thompson; one grandson, Damion; two aunts; four cousins; and many friends.
His funeral service will be held at noon Friday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home followed by burial at the Wilson Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Thursday.
