She was a devoted Mother and a member of St. Stephen Martyr Church and a resident of the Masonic Home.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Clyde Vernon Bishop and a grandson, James Vernon Gibson.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Clyde E. Bishop (Johanna), Patricia Crabtree and Lawrence E. Bishop (Saturnina), Mary R. Hance (Lonnie) and Gary L. Bishop (Barbara). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A celebration of Ruth’s life Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 am, Monday December 10, 2012 at St Stephen Martyr Church, 2931 Pindell Avenue, Louisville, KY,(502) 635-5813 with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be held, 2-8pm Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
