She was born on October 18, 1933 in Louisville KY, to William "Bill" and Frances (Ellis) Robinson. Ruth was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church. She joined the Eastern Star at 18 years old. Ruth worked at the Real Estate Commision, Standard Oil, and eventually retired from Kindercare Learning Center.
Ruth is preceded in death by her brother, William "Bill" Robinson(Dee) and her husband of 56 years, Robert"Bob" Cobb and her furbaby Kishi.
She is survived by her five children, Robert "Bobby" Ellis (Beverly), Cynthia "Cindy" Miller (Lin's widow), Benjamin "Ben" Cobb (Lynne), Cheryl & Lisa Cobb.
She was also the grandmother of 6, great grandmother of 7, and great great grandmother of 1 and 1 on the way, 2 nephews, and countless other extended family and friends.
Ruth was courageous, kind, funny, loving and full of joy. She was the heart and soul of our family.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 4-7 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville KY 40218. A funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday August 18, 2025 in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
