Ruth A Kelly Hunt

Ruth was born June 14, 1928 in Ashland, KY., to Katherine (White) and Robert Kelly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sabra Scott Colegrove, Jr. and a beloved son, Sabra Scott Colegrove, III.

She leaves behind to mourn her passing, twins; Jess W. (Thelma) Colegrove of Texas, and Jackie A. Doucette of West Virginia; son, James P. (Kathy) Colegrove of Maryland and daughters, Kathy A. Hunt and Amanda D. Michaels, both of Louisville, and both whom took care of her. Also left are her 12 grandchildren; over 25 great-grandchildren and over 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Sacred Heart Village, with special thanks to Heather, Tee, David and Cindy, for the kindness, compassion and care given to Mom. We would also like to thank the many Sisters who sat with us and everyone who prayed for us.

Mom was a friend to all she met and welcomed them as family. She was known to be frank and even blunt, but never in malice. A new voice ringing with laughter fills the Heavens today.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 pm. and after 9 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
