Ruth Whittle, 89, former of Louisville passed away December 7, 2013 in Plano, TX. A native of Edmonson County she was the former Ruth Campbell, a former employee of the old American Tobacco Co., a retired employee of General Electric, and a member of, Campbell’s Chapel United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl (Duke) Whittle; her parents, Reverend Gordon & Marie Lindsey Campbell; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Michaele Hayden (Mike); brothers, Ray Campbell (Mary) and Reverend Billy Campbell (Pam); grandchildren Emily and Amanda Hayden; and 18 nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Whittle will be held from 2-8 pm Friday at Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Funeral services for Mrs. Whittle will be held at 10 am Saturday at Campbell’s Chapel United Baptist Church, 2525 Guelet Avenue in Louisville. A second visitation will be held at the Oak Grove United Baptist Church in Edmonson County on Saturday from 1-3 pm CST. Interment will follow in the Rocky Hill Cemetery in Warren County.
