

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sarah J. Tinker, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved friend, who left this world on Sunday, December 29th at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Tinker, her parents Mary and Frank Minogue, her sister Ann Alvey, brothers Pat, Buddy and Bill.
Sarah was an example of love with warmth whose presence brought light to all who knew her. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs before her own and creating a home filled with laughter, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
Sarah had a remarkable ability to make you laugh, feel welcomed and loved. She is survived by her children Tom (Stephanie) and Alex Tinker (Meghan); her grandchildren Mallory, Addy Grace, Will and Charlie Tinker; and her beloved nephews Eric, Andy, and Dennis Alvey and their children Allie, Andrew, Raeann, Carter and Conner, her brother Lawrence as well as countless friends who will carry her memory in their hearts. Sarah was a proud retiree from the Jefferson County Board of Education.
Her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will live on in the lives of all who were fortunate to know her. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 2PM at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A visitation will be held the evening before on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 4PM to 8PM.
In lieu of flowers, Sarah kindly requests donations be made to Kosair Charities and/or Home of the Innocents.
Though we mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with her boyfriend and loved ones who have gone before her. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
Rest in peace, Sarah. Your love will forever be loved and appreciated.
