It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Saundra Kay Butler (Sandy) a beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. Sandy left this world peacefully, after a long illness. Leaving behind a legacy of love.
Sandy was born in Morehead, Kentucky on September 8, 1962 to the late Vernon L. Butler and Bonnie Butler Pack. A graduate of the University of Louisville, with a bachelor's and master's degree in Special Education. Sandy taught in the Jefferson County school system for several years. She will be remembered for unwavering compassion, dedication, and positive impact she had on the lives of her students. Those who were fortunate enough to know her will remember her for her sense of humor, her strong will and her kindness and love for all.
Sandy is survived by her mother Bonnie Butler Pack Louisville and her uncle Lawrence Lee Crum (Jennifer) Morehead. Several cousins, best friend Karen Roberson, and special friends Kim Whitman and Kelly Harlow, as well as many other special friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday September 24, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218 from 1-2PM. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2PM. Rest in peace, your wonderful soul touched many.
