

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Marksbury; grandparents, Donald and Carolyn Marksbury, and Angel Huff; brother, Paul “PJ” Marksbury, Jr.; uncle, Robby Huff; and aunt, Penny Marksbury.
Scotty took up the family trade and became a professional flooring installer and was a man of many passions and talents, each one reflecting his vibrant personality and enthusiasm for life. He was an avid fan of playing pool and darts, often the life of the game with his competitive spirit and friendly banter. Scotty had a deep love for collecting Louisville Cardinals memorabilia, cherishing every piece of his collection. He loved starting bonfires on a cool evening, surrounded by family, enjoying music and sharing laughs. Family was at the heart of everything Scotty did, and he had a remarkable way of making every moment spent with loved ones feel special. As a talented artist with incredible drawing skills, Scotty’s creativity and attention to detail shone through in everything he touched. He was known for his contagious smile and laughter, which could brighten anyone's day, as well as his legendary hugs, which brought comfort and warmth. Always in a fashionable outfit which reflected his fun-loving, confident, and charismatic nature. He truly was a one-of-a-kind soul, a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Miranda Lynn (McAllister) Marksbury; six children, Skylar Faith Marksbury, Jordan Lee Marksbury, Michael Duby Marksbury, Leland Allen Duby Marksbury, Statik DeWayne Marksbury, Linkin Kruz Marksbury; two grandchildren, Aalliyah Thompson and Khalil Duby, as well as another on the way; his mother, Dorothy Marksbury; his step-mother, April Hendren; grandparents, Bobby and Teri Huff; two brothers, Brandon Huff (Nicole Davidson) and Landon Marksbury; sister, Layla Hendren-Marksbury; nieces, Autumn, Angelina, Ava and Adria Huff; nephew, Ace Huff; aunt, Martha McLin; uncles, Jimmy Marksbury and Timmy Marksbury (Joann); cousins, Mictavish “Mikki” Cash (Austin) and their family, Samantha “Sami” Huff (Aaron) and their family, Michael Marksbury, Alan Marksbury, Salena Marksbury, Amber Collett, Sarah Wooden, Chad Wooden, Jason Buchanan, Jennifer “Jenny” Buchanan Carrier, Alexis McLin; in addition to a host of many other family members, friends and loved ones.
A service to celebrate Scotty’s life will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206. Visitation will be from 1-7 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
