Septa Ann “Sam”, 84 , returned to her heavenly father Monday, November 19, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East.
She was born December 4, 1927 in Huntington, WV to the late Jack B. and Lucille Meecham Smith. In her early years she worked as a sales associate, but spent the majority of her life as a proud devoted homemaker for her family. Seppie was an avid gardener; her green thumb was like no one else’s.
Her husband, Donald C. McCreight precedes her in death.
Left to carry on her beautiful memory are children, Charlotte A. Dikes (Shaun), Bill Hoke (Debbie), and Mark McCreight (Laura); grandchildren, Jaime Gamez (Jahred), Jason Bayless, Jessica Bayless (Jon Becker), Matt and Andy Hoke, and Alex McCreight; great grandchildren, Avery and Evelyn Gamez; sister, Lu B. Jordan; and her best friends of 33 years , Steve and Deanna Otto.
A service to celebrate the life of Seppie will be noon Saturday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Visitation will be 10 am prior to the service Saturday. Private Entombment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
