Shellie is survived by her husband Richard; her brother Bill Horton; her sister Melissa Duley.
She was born Shellie Jo Horton in New Albany Indiana to Robert and Sheila Horton. She graduated in May of 2015 from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, cum Laude.
Shellie was an avid cellist who had performed with the Louisville orchestra and performed internationally with the Floyd County Youth Symphony as well as later as a member of a community ensemble in New Albany. Shellie deeply enjoyed playing the cello and it was a life-long passion.
She was an inspiration to all who knew her and is deeply missed by all. A celebration of her life is being planned and details will be disseminated separately.
