Stephen Phillip Rice, 77, departed this life on February 13, 2026 at the Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana. He was born July 6, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Harold F. and Edna Joyce Harrell Rice.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a former truck driver of Pegasus Trucking. He was also an avid fan of the Louisville Cardinals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Douglas Rice; paternal grandparents, Rudolph E. and Bettie Rice; and maternal grandparents, Charles Everett and Vadna Ree Muffett Harrell.
He is survived by his brothers, Harold "Fred" Rice and his wife, Nancy, Chuck Rice and his wife, Sandi, Richard Rice and his wife, Lisa; and Robin Rice and his wife, Kelly; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2pm Friday, February 20, 2026 at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 12pm-2pm Friday at the funeral home.
