Steven Young

Steve was born on June 12, 1954 in Louisville, Ky.

He was a current warehouse manager at Intertech Mechanical, former mailroom supervisor at Courier Journal for many years and worked at Rohm and Haus.

Steve was an avid hunter and loved to fish. Spent countless hours riding horses and was a member of the Sheriff’s Posse, American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), American Endurance Riders Conference (AERC) and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Above all, Steve loved his family and friends and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that no one could match.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Cindy (LaRoy), his two daughters, Brittney Young, and Kristy (Young) Glasscock (Kevin). Grandson Drew Tucker (Hedayah) and granddaughter Maddie Tucker. Siblings Donna, Terry (Beverly), Mark (Jackie), Todd and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Jacob Allen Young and his mother, Iris Muriel (Johnson) Young.

A visitation for Steven will be held Monday, July 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Stevens honor to the Myeloma Foundation or the Spina Bifida Association of Kentucky.
