Susan D. Goodgine

Susan Denise Goodgine, 59, went to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday, February 6, 2025, surrounded by her mother, family, and Pastor Coye Still and his wife, Sherra. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 27, 1965. Susan attended Durrett High School, where she was a member of the marching band. She later graduated from Seneca High School. She continued her education at the University of Louisville, where she exceled academically and was a member of the Golden Key service organization. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in May 2003. Susan was a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church, and a former long-time member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. At Walnut Street Baptist Church, she was involved in community ministries, children’s ministries, and sang in the choir. Susan was a 30-year survivor of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She enjoyed crafting, especially cross-stitching, and was an avid U of L fan.

Left to cherish Susan’s memory is her mother; Rose Goodgine, aunt; Bonnie Hicks, uncle; Robert Raymer (Vickie), and a host of cousins, extended family, and loving friends.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Walnut Street Baptist Church, 1143 S 3rd St, Louisville, KY 40203. A Celebration of Life will follow directly at 2:00pm.
