Susan Hourigan

Susan was born to the late Charles and Mary Jane Luckett on November 24, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Along with her parents she is preceded in passing by her sister; Peggy Felkins, Father-in-Law John J. Hourigan, mother- in- law; Margaret Hourigan, two brother-in-laws; Richard and Michael Hourigan, and a sister-in-law; Janice Key.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, John Hourigan, her three children; Tricia Gatrost (Ted), Shannon Cole (Tom), John “JT” Hourigan (Stanna), 5 grandchildren; Jaret Gatrost, Jenna Gatrost, Blake Hourigan, Klaire Hourigan, and Carter Hourigan. Susan also leaves her four siblings; Terry Luckett (Patty), Jack Luckett (Cathie), Carolyn Miller (Tommy), and Cherly Freudenberger (Dennis).

Susan was a member of St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Parish. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was a very charitable woman, being a part of many activities to support Military personnel and cancer patients. Her favorite place to be other than with her family was the beach. She was a loving wife, mom, nana, and friend. Susan will be missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Susan will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel, 5505 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, Kentucky 40291.
