

Born on Friday, May 7, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, Sylvia was the daughter of the lates’ Hubert Herron and Virginia Williams. Sylvia was a homemaker, caring for those she loved. Her life revolved entirely around her children and grandchildren, who she cherished beyond measure. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life, they brought her endless joy. She was a very proud fan of U of L sports. Sylvia also had a special love for butterflies, where she found beauty and meaning in their gentle presence. She was known too, for her heart of gold. She had a natural gift for caring for others and spent her life helping anyone in need with compassion, warmth and a true caretaker’s heart.
Sylvia leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and selflessness that her family will forever remember and cherish.
Besides her parents, Hubert Herron and Virginia Williams; the father of her children, Bill Puckett; her husband, Russell “Rusty” Comer; and siblings, Jamie Herron, Don Taylor and Molly Pepper, precede Sylvia in her passing.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Sam (Wendy) Puckett; her daughters, Susan Carbajal and Doris Cotton; her grandchildren, Lacey Carbajal, Freddy Carbajal, Tonya Carbajal Tatiana Carbajal, Morgan Puckett, Courtney Puckett, Kylie Puckett, Desi Puckett and Susan Cotton; 7 – great – grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Per her wishes, cremation was chosen. There will be no public services at this time.
