She is preceded in death by her mother, Thelma; father, Shirley Miller; sister Lettie Harris; brother Frank Miller, and loving husband of 29 years Thomas J Hurd.
Sylvia retired from General Electric Co. with 29 years of service.
She is survived by her three sons: Joseph E. Francis Jr. (Lori), Kenneth J. Francis, and Steven J. Hurd (Karen); two granddaughters, Brittany C. Perry, Jasmine P. Hurd; three grandsons Nick Johnson, C.J. Hurd, and Blake E. Francis, which she loved with all of her heart.
Visitation for Sylvia will be 2:00-7:00PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in the chapel of the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Resthaven Memorial Park immediately following the service.
