Ted A. Potts

Teddy (Ted) A. Potts passed away unexpectedly in Louisville , KY on Monday, February 24, 2025. Ted was born on August 10, 1954 in Louisville, KY. Ted is survived and leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia (Patti) Potts, his sister Paula (Potts) Hausch (Ron), and numerous cousins. Ted was preceded in death by his father, Paul E. Potts, mother, Ramona (Carpenter) Potts, brother Terry Potts, and son, Zachary Potts.

Ted was a lifelong car enthusiast, and a “water-rat” on the Ohio River. Ted loved to fish lakes and rivers all over Kentucky. In 1993 Ted and Patti moved to Alabaster, Alabama and lived there for 30 years. When Ted retired they decided to move back to Kentucky to be close to family. Ted’s biggest passion was boating and spending as much time as possible on lakes in his boat. He had numerous boats that he upgraded to larger boats through the years. Ted & Patti spent 30 years boating on beautiful Lake Martin in Alabama before moving back to Kentucky. Ted loved life and lived it to the fullest, with many friends and family. He was loved and will be missed forever by all those that loved him.

Visitation will held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 10:30 to noon at

Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. The funeral service will follow the visitation.
