Teddy Wayne Lyons, 70, of Louisville, KY passed away on September 15, 2022. He was born in Scottsville, KY on September 9, 1952 to the late Charlie and Clara Lee Lyons. Ted attended respiratory school at the University of Kentucky, but he was an avid University of Louisville football and basketball fan. He was a Respiratory Therapist for 40+ years and retired from Advanced Lifeline Respiratory Services in 2017. Ted attended 9th and O Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his siblings, James ‘Jerry’ Lyons, Edna Mae Lyons, Frank Lyons, Earl Lyons, Reed Lyons Sr., and Clara ‘Liz’ Lyons.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Zandra Lyons; his children, Nathaniel Lyons (April Lyons), Nicole Lyons and Alexander Lyons; a step-daughter, Lesley Watzke; two grandchildren, Alyssa Lyons and Jaedyn Lyons; siblings, Ronnie Lyons, Charlie ‘Suzanne’ Lyons and Charlie Thomas Lyons; the mother of his children, Carol Lyons, who remained a very dear friend to Ted and Zandra, a host of nieces and nephews, and many other extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
A service to celebrate Ted’s life will take place at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 9th and O Baptist Church (4401 Breckinridge Lane). With Visitation beginning at 1:00pm.
