Marge( Thelma) Scherzer, born May 8, 1938 to Arther and Mary Scherzer, died Oct 15, 2025. Marge was born in Louisville, KY where she lived her whole life. She attended St Vincent DePaul and Ursuline Academy. She met Don, the love of her life, at age 17 and was married to him for 60 years before he died in 2019.
She retired from a job she loved at KY Farm Bureau where she worked for 42 years.
Marge and Don were huge U of L football fans and attended all home and bowl games. She also loves to watch basketball games, especially the U of L girls.
Marge is preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her daughters Helen(Bob), Donna (Mark) and Cathy.
7 grandchildren: Daniel, Leigh Ann (Josh),
Melissa( Justin), Gregory, Matthew, Elizabeth( Robert) and Blake.
5 great grandchildren: Abi, Alexander, Amara, Forest and Clover.
2 sisters: Rita and Elizabeth and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marge will always be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness and care for others. We couldn’t have asked for a better Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend and she will be missed everyday.
