Pops was a hardworking man through and through, dedicating his life to the construction trade. With calloused hands and a strong spirit, he helped build not just structures, but a legacy of perseverance, integrity, and pride in honest work. He was the kind of man who showed up early, stayed late, and never cut corners—earning the respect of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Beyond his work, Pops was a man of simple values and deep love. He believed in providing for his family, lending a hand when it was needed, and doing what was right, even when it wasn’t easy. His strength, quiet wisdom, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Gerri; his daughter, Krystal and his favorite son-in-law, Cameron; son, Cody and his favorite daughter-in-law, Haillie; his beloved granddaughter, Lexi; his mother, Barbara; and his stepmother, Paula. He also leaves behind his sister, Teri (Duyane); and his brother, Lenny, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
A gathering to celebrate Pop's life will be held from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Arch L. Heady, Westport Road (7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40222). Though he may be gone, the foundation he built in the lives of those around him will stand strong forever. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pop's memory may be made to the American Cancer Research or any cancer research.
