Tristan Elijah Deveaux was born April 28, 2002 in Fort Lauderdale, FL to his first mom. He was welcomed with joy into the Deveaux family January 16, 2005. He died on March 17, 2021 from a drug overdose.
He was so much more than those statistics. He was a son. A brother. A grandson. A friend. He loved fiercely and was loved back. He loved his family, his friends, his dogs, trying new things: football, soccer, basketball, scouts, Ninjitsu, skateboarding, origami, Rubik’s cube, trumpet, you name it. His smile was infectious, and his love of life burned brightly.
Tristan attended Alma Easom and Van Story Elementary Schools in Fayetteville, NC, and St. Albert the Great School and Ballard High School in Louisville, KY. He was a member of Scout Pack 740 in Fayetteville, NC, and Troop 317 in Louisville, KY.
Tristan is survived by his parents, Peter and Lynn (Klumb) Deveaux; brothers Jackson, Henry and Max Deveaux; grandparents Raymond Deveaux and Shirley Klumb; aunts and uncles Mardi Deveaux and Adam Turner, and Beth (Deveaux) and Bill Havlicek; cousins Halley and Madison Havlicek and Zeke Turner; his beloved dogs, Boomer and Tippy; and so so many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Martha (Kelley) Deveaux and David Klumb, and aunt Karen Klumb.
