

Vernon B. Hall, 89, died Saturday, December 7, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Cleo R. “Jean”, His sister Hettie Waggoner and his parents.Vernon is survived by his children, Cheryl Downs, Terry Hall (Candy), Karen Hulsman (Charlie); grandchildren, Drew Hall (Kelly), Aaron Hall (Morgan), Abigail Downs (Calvin); great-grandchildren, Avery, Olivia, Ethan and Drayce; “Other Daughter”, Billie Jo Pate (Roy); and “Other Son”, Maurice Grimm (Eva).Vernon loved bowling with the “Double Nickel” Club at Ken Bowl Lanes and loved working in his garden and yard as well as daily treasure hunt walks in the neighborhood. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Army-Air Corps during World War II and was a retired bus driver from TARC after 39 years.Vernon’s Funeral and Celebration of Life will be at 10:30 am Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Boulevard. Visitation will be from 1pm-8pm Wednesday, December 11th and from 9:30am until time of service on Thursday, with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to KET, or a charity of your choice.
