He is preceded in death by his son-in-law, David Allgood and his cousin, John Draper.
Walter is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Collins, their children, Cindi Hansell, Melissa Allgood and Walter Collins Jr., sister, Mary Hall (David) Seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Walter’s life will be conducted at 2pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 12pm until service time on Saturday.
