

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jackie Fredericks; son, Paul (Kaye) Fredericks, daughter Joyce Boblitt, his grandchildren Charles (Cheryl) Fredericks and Chrissy (Brian) Evans; great-granddaughter, Claire Evans; former son-in-law and friend Carl (Stephanie) Boblitt; friends, Linda and Donald Bowles and Sandra Patterson.
"Wally" was a retired portrait photographer of over 54 years operating Wallace Studio from 1957 to 1990. He specialized in many areas including weddings, families, schools, and celebrity photos, including Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and Muhammad Ali. A member of "The Greatest Generation" Wally served in the U.S. Army's 505 Heavy Tank Ordnance Company during the Normandy Campaign of World War II. He was among the troops landing on Omaha Beach on D-Day + 3 and participated in the liberation of Nordhausen concentration camp. He attended many reunions over the years maintaining lifelong friendships with the brave soldiers that served with him.
A Celebration of Life service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven at 2 p.m. with visitation on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 2-8 p.m.
