Wanda O. Zimmerman, 86 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013. She was an artist and an avid china painter, and had received numerous awards for her artwork. She enjoyed baking wedding and specialty cakes, along with making candy and was a great cook. Wanda loved gardening and landscaping. She gave art lessons to her grandchilden and many others througout her life. She had been a member of Highview Baptist Church for over 50 years and a member of the Louisville China Painters Club and a homemaker.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Richard Zimmerman; her brother, sister, mother and grandson.
Left cherishing her memory are her children, Debra (Skip), Deana (Jerry) Richard (Roberta), Diane (Rob) and Denise; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Her Life Celebration service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
