Lockhart, Wendell Eugene (Bud), 90, of Louisville, went to heaven on December 14, 2023. He was a father, grandpa, and great grandpa. He loved serving others and served faithfully in many capacities at Watkins United Methodist Church. His life was a life well-lived and he will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ruth Lockhart.
Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Cathy Mueller (David) and Brian Lockhart (Kathy); four grandchildren Matthew (Tiffanie) Mueller, Daniel (Chelsea) Mueller, Kristen and Heather Lockhart; three great grandchildren Timothy, Malachi, and Ezekiel Mueller; and sister Jane Martin.
A service to celebrate the life of Wendell will be conducted at 10 AM, Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Watkins United Methodist Church, 9800 Westport Road. Interment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in the parlor of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Village.
The family has requested that memorials be made to Watkins United Methodist Church.
