William Earl "Bill" Barrett 69, of New Albany, passed away December 30, 2016. Bill was a retired Firefighter for the New Albany Fire Department, a member of Highland Baptist Church and the Forty and Eight Club. He was also an avid golfer and bowler.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Louise Barrett and a sister Carol Jenkins.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 35 years Kit Barrett, children; Michael (Terry), Keith, Pete Knight, Rebecca Poe (Gabriel) and Michael Barrett; siblings, Johnny Barrett, Lee Barrett, Mary Priddy, and Roger Barrett; grandchildren, Brandon, Destiny, Samantha, and Peyton and great-grandchild, Ambryiah.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday 12 noon at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8pm at the funeral Home.
