Mr. Bass was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church and a former member of Resurrection Catholic Church. He was a retired meat cutter and former owner of Lee's Key Market. Mr. Bass was an active member of his senior citizens group, the Clothe the Naked Now sewing group and was a World War II Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jean Bass.
Survivors include his children, Carolyn Kaelin, Mike Bass, Linda Greenwell (Glenn), Donna Korfhage (Bill) and Jim Bass (Beth); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Funeral Home, with entombment at Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation is noon-8 p.m. on Friday at Evergreen Funeral Home.
