William L Greissel Jr.

William Leroy Greissel, Jr., 85, of Louisville, passed away Monday evening with his loving family at his side. He was born, January 31, 1930 to the late, William Leroy Greissel Sr. and Gertrude Brummelhaus Greissel. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was retired from Julius Schnurr and Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by 1 great-grandchild, Owen Ritchey and his 5 sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kitty Black Greissel, his 5 children; Kathy Elaine Azevedo (AL), William Leroy Greissel (Sylvia), Barbara Lega (Kevin), Paula Wommer (Louis), and Kenneth Greissel (Christy); His 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. His sisters Mildred Williman, Angela Larkens, and Linda Snider.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Monday at Saint Therese Catholic Church, 1010 Schiller Avenue with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation with family and friends will be held Sunday 1 to 8 p.m. at Arch L. Heady Russman & Sons, 1201 East Oak Street.
