William M. Lewellen, of Louisville passed away February 3, 2011 at Masonic Homes of Kentucky. He was born on November 6, 1918 to the late William and Eda Roederer Lewellen. He was a member of Louisville Scottish Rite, American Legion #201, VFW Post 1170, Past Master of Buechel Masonic Lodge 896, Kosair Shrine Temple and Bethel St. Paul. He was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1942 to 1948.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lee Lewellen.
He is survived by his children, Mike (Ruth) Lewellen and Sue Seigle; a sister, Dorothy Cureton; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the funeral home with Masonic services at 7 PM. Expressions of sympathy are requested to Kosair Charities or Bethel St. Paul.
