William “Glen” Skaggs, 89, passed away March 27, 2025. He was born on March 21, 1936, to the late William and Ethel Skaggs. Glen was a member of Hiawatha Baptist Church. Glen loved woodworking, building furniture,watching University of Kentucky Basketball, and spending time with his family.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents; William and Ethel Skaggs, brother; Burdett Skaggs, and sisters; Janavea Gibson and Anna Doris Cann.
Glen is survived by his loving wife of 68 years; Virgie Skaggs, children; Carlton Skaggs (David Jones), Karen Divine (Mark), and Sheila Woods (Donnie), grandchildren; Doug Divine, Micheal Divine (Ashley), Megan Woods (Jacob Kaltenbach), and Drew Woods (Katie), great-grandchildren; Kaylan, Bradley, Mason, Brody, Kane, and Harper Divine, sister; Lorene Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A visitation for Glen will be held Friday, April 4, 2025, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, at Evergreen Funeral Home, with a funeral to follow directly at 2:00pm. Glen will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
