

Amy is survived by her Mother, Sharon Weiss, her siblings, Debra Hansen, (Robert), Christopher Weiss, (Janene), Cheryl Weiss, and Theresa Pack. She is also survived by her three children, Justin Weiss, (Renae), Jason Tran, (Elissa), Jasmine Neily, (Shawn), and four grandchildren, Zaiah, Everlee, Ripley and Poe. She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Weiss.
Raised in Murray, Utah, Amy graduated from Murray High School in 1983. She was a member of the marching band where she played the clarinet. She also participated with the flag drill team. Amy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where as a young woman she enjoyed playing sports with her ward team, and attending girl's camp with her mother and sisters. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, nature, and water sports of all kinds. Her favorite spot was Lake Tahoe, where she spent vacations with her family.
Amy had a fun sense of humor and especially loved spending time with family and friends. She loved her children and grandchildren and created many cherished memories. Her hobbies included horseback riding, sewing, crafting, collecting bears, decorating her home and spending time with her dog, Lizzie.
Amy was a certified CNA and EMT, spending most of her career at nursing homes and assisted living centers. She loved working with elderly patients, and treated them with respect and dignity. She also served those in her community.
The family wishes to thank all those who helped care for Amy during her last few months, including friends and family, health care workers, and kind neighbors. Your actions were greatly appreciated. A special thanks to her niece, Jamie, who took especially good care of Amy during her final days.
Amy respectfully requested no funeral services. Interment in Garland City Cemetery.
