

Charles "Rocky" Turner passed away at his home on April 16th. He is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Patty and his three sons, Linc (Natalie), John (Sara) & Sam (Danielle). He was a devoted grandfather to eight: Simon, Maggie, Hatcher, Charlie, Will, Lydia, Jack & Beau.
Born in Nashville and raised in Indianapolis, Rocky was one of four children. He attended Ball State University, where he got his masters degree in Industrial Technology. Following college, he began teaching shop before making the decision to go west. Patty & Rocky moved to Colorado in 1979, where he, along with two close friends, started LPR Construction. Rocky led the company he founded for more than four decades.
Since its inception, LPR has become one of the nation's leaders in steel erection. He took great pride in his company and the standard it held itself to. Rocky partnered with OSHA to help set the industry standard for safety across the steel industry. His passion for safety, particularly fall protection, has resulted in industry-wide changes that have saved countless lives.
Rocky was a devoted member of the community. He served on the board of the Loveland Business Partnership and the National Center for Construction Education & Research. He was a patron of the arts, philanthropist, Eagle Scout, and lover of nature.
