

Dave Lance Wells, 71, of Loveland passed away December 22, 2025. He was born April 15, 1953, to Alfred and Joyce Wells in Orange, California, he was the oldest of six children. At the age of 6, he and his family moved to South Dakota, where he attended school and eventually graduated from White Lake High School. In January of 1972, Dave joined the United States Navy and took such pride in being in the armed forces. In December of 1973, he was honorably discharged from the service due to medical reasons, and which started a life-long battle with Crohn’s. In 1977 he graduated with an associate’s degree in electronics.
Dave was married 3 times, he met his current wife Karla and the two were married May 30, 1981, they had 3 children together, adding to the 3 children from his previous marriage.
Dave moved his family to Loveland in 1997 and ran a billiard and pool table repair company. He was very active in all sports. Baseball was his ultimate love when he was young, a little later in life he taught softball, bowling and billiards, to both youth and adults. He achieved a score of 300, 299, 800 and many 700’s in bowling, along with multiple state championships. He had also shot a hole in one at his home golf course in Loveland. Dave placed 3rd in the seniors open singles event in the VNEA International Pool Championship and the following year he was inducted into the VNEA Hall of Fame. Dave had many great accomplishments, but his biggest pride and joy was his best buddy Hunter Renz, his grandson.
Dave is survived by his wife Karla Wells, daughters Kristina (Daniel) Renz, Sheri Lynn; sons Chris Wells, Curtis Wells, Jason Wells and Joshua Wells; his sister Teresa (Doug) Deurmier; brothers Doug Wells and Frank (Pam) Well; grandchildren Kaylynn Wells, Hunter Renz, Kaelin Archambault, Jorianna Wells, Charottie Wells, Dylan Hill, Jada Wells and Athen Johnson.
He is preceded by his parents Alfred and Joyce Wells; brothers John and Michael; a niece Amy Sue Wells, a grandson Hunter Wells and a granddaughter Emily Wells.
Private family services will take place at a later date.
