Flora Ann Poage

Flora Ann Poage, age 90, of Loveland, Larimer County, Colorado, passed away at her home July 8, 2025. Flora was born in Denver, CO on June 16, 1935 to Harry and Anna (Heueisen) Mitchell of Bennett, CO.

Flora Ann was later joined by sisters, Charlene, Carolyn and Sharon and brother, Ron. Flora Ann grew up on the family farm south of Bennett and attended schools at Bennett, graduating from Bennett High School in May 1953.

Flora Ann enjoyed helping with the harvest every summer. She worked for Interstate Cafe and Wright and McGill Company in 1959. Flora Ann married Earnest "Jay" Poage at the Bennett Baptist Church on November 26, 1961.

Flora Ann and Jay lived in the Bennett community, where they welcomed their four children, Donald, Duane, Deborah and Dianna. Flora Ann still helped on the farm and retired from Diamond Shamrock.

She was a loving mom and grandma and helped whenever she could. In March 2009, Flora Ann moved to Loveland and in April of 2012, she was in a really bad immobilizing car accident, which left her confined to a wheelchair.

Flora Ann is survived by her daughters, Deborah and Dianna Poage both of Loveland; sons, Duane and Donnie Poage both of Loveland; sisters, Charlene Hogarth of Bennett and Carolyn Hatfield of Roseville, CA; grandchildren, Misty Dawn Reyes Medina of Arvada, CO, Melissa Poage of Iowa, Nick (Rebecca) Poage of Loveland, David Lombari of Fort Morgan, CO and Tessa (John) Rice of Frederick, CO; great-grandchildren, Nayeli Reyes Medina, Veronica Reyes Medina and Aurallia Reyes Medina all of Arvada, Zaiden Poage of Iowa, Bentley Poage, Brody Poage, Brayden Poage and Watson Poage all of Loveland, Gianna Lombari of Ft. Collins, CO and Jayden Rice and Wyatt Rice both of Frederick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay, sister, Sharon, brother, Ron and her parents.

Flora Ann was laid to rest by her husband in Bennett Cemetery in Bennett on Monday, July 21, 2025.
