Jesse Ryan Richter, age 41, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Jesse was born in Fort Collins, Colorado, to Rick and Julie Richter. He was raised with his three siblings, two brothers and a sister, in Colorado Springs. He loved riding his bike, playing youth sports, golfing or fishing with his grandpas, playing catch in the yard, his mom’s chocolate cake, hot weather and days spent at the water.
Graduated from William J. Palmer High School in 2000 and went on to play college-level football for one season at Wayne State Nebraska. He explored Steamboat Springs and California before he completed his degree in Social Science with a minor in history at Colorado State University, his family alma mater.
Jesse met Sarah Mendoza in 2010, and the two had an instant connection, even climbing their first “14teener” mountain within days of meeting. The two were married for twelve years and often celebrated their anniversary with a new hike or adventure. They raised their two children, Ryder (12) and Jo (10) in Loveland, CO. His greatest love and joy was being with his family, whether it was going to the park, taking local trips to the mountains or family cabin, swimming in the neighborhood pool, coaching or watching one of the kids’ many athletic endeavors, or simply eating ice cream and watching movies at home.
Jesse was a successful and well-liked Project Manager at WW Clyde.
One of the best things you could get out of Jesse was an earned, big smile.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, adoring father, beloved son, and cherished brother.
A memorial service for Jesse will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Allnutt Funeral Service – Hunter Chapel, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, Colorado 80538.
