John Robert Walpole

John Walpole passed on in Loveland, Colorado at the age of 80. He passed peacefully, in his own home, under the loving care of his wife Claudette. He and Claudette shared a loving embrace in his very last moments.

Born in Santa Cruz, California to Robert and Hazel Walpole, John grew up throughout the Midwest and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1962. He went on to college at the University of North Dakota and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing in 1966.

He was quite successful in the corporate world for a time, working his way up the ladder with the very prestigious Parker Pen Company. Eventually he realized this was not the life for him, and he began to pursue a life of spirituality and healing. And golf. John was a skilled and avid golfer and loved spending time on the golf course. While in his 70s he was able to actually ‘shoot his age' for 18 holes.

His was also a skilled chess player, regularly competing online, and like his Grandfather, a passionate gardener.

He became a very accomplished Reflexologist and Healthcare Consultant in Alternative Medicine. He took great joy in helping people in any way he could. John’s warmth and love attracted many who gathered at the home he shared with Claudette. Any and all were welcomed and found solace under the glow of love and wisdom John emanated from his many years of practicing spirituality, meditation and his natural love of mankind. He created a space that let others experience that they too are beloved creatures of God.

At the time he passed, John was in the process of designing a beautiful attached greenhouse for his new home. The work on that project has now begun, under Claudette' s supervision. John referred to himself as ‘Laughing Heart’, so the placard at the entrance will read ‘’John Laughing Heart's Veggie Hut’, and below that, ‘’Breathe…’’

May he rest and garden in peace.

John is survived by his wife Claudette and stepsons Luke and Donovan, his son Matt, His Sister Deidra, his Brother Grant, and his former wife Shana and her son Eric.

In a few months there will be a celebration of life

John Walpole: Beloved Husband, Brother, Friend, Uncle John to Sarah

He called himself Laughing Heart, a Spiritual Warrior, a Playful Otter of the Universe, practiced deep meditation, intuitive healing through reflexology / breath-work, and voice dialogue. He also practiced loving radical honesty and the 'I Am' teachings. He loved God/Jesus, gardening, golf, and he was a wonderful singer.
